Vacation was great.  It was just the right amount of time spent with the in-laws, and the beach was awesome.  I had totally planned on updating on my running while south of the border but there was a glitch with the internet in the condo.  It is fixed now, but we are not there now…  Funny how that works.

Anyway, I have all of my updates on my progress.  I surprisingly did not miss a day.  I will be updating those throughout the morning.  I’ll also give an update on the book review from before I left.

And finally, a big thanks to all that have come over to my site.  I hope I can provide continued inspiration for you.

  1. Hi! I have been enjoying your posts. I too have started to exercise (somewhat). I am about 50 lbs overweight at age 50. Your plan is on my pinterest board but don’t intend to start with it until I have been walking a little longer. Living in the humidity of SE Missouri, walking has to be done early & late so I do each for 30 mins. each day. I figure something is better than nothing…right?

    • That’s kind of how I started it out as well. I walked a bit before I started it up. Plus, the first weeks routine is all walking anyway. And yes, walking is simply running laps around the person on the couch!

  2. I really like your idea on how to get into running. I found it on Pinterest too. I am in my early 50s and about 70 lbs overweight. I know that I need to get more active and have always wanted to be able to run. This sounds like something I might be able to do. Thanks for sharing your program.

  3. I found your plan on Pinterest too! I am in my early 50’s and need to get in shape. Your plan is simple and looks like something that will work for me. I’m glad you said “walking is simply running laps around the person on the couch!” That sweltering outdoor heat would spell failure for me. I could do this inside.
